Do you have a monthly Ladies Meeting at your church?

That is the question .......don't feel bad if you don't , and I k now many that do, but I figure tht there is some of you out there who would LIKE to have one, but you don't know where to get started.....

Well I am not perfect and have defiently not have "PERFECTED" it by no means, but I thought I would take a minute and share with you the ideas that have and are now working for me and my ladies.

This is our 3rd full year that we are beginning at NIBC and along with that is the 3rd anniversary of LOE...What is LOE - you might say, it is a group I started called LADIES OF ENCOURAGEMENT. We meet once a month and recently have had some changes in that as well ( I will share that later-) we have a luncheon on Sunday afternoons and it makes for more ladies getting to attend, as well as a wonderful time of fellowship.

Ladies of Encouragement - we strive to make it just that! a time of encouragement, where we have a devotion and a time of prayer and praise, then the fellowship . Our theme verse is Jude 1:22 And of some have compassion, making a difference.

Making a diference- isn't that why we are where we are??? God has placed us here to make a difference in people's lives - A REAL DIFFERENCE. We ( ladies) are to be the example - and let them see Jesus in us.

I recently have really become aware that CATCHING THE VISION is sooooo necessary.

CATCH THE VISION in O8 is our church theme for this year and my husband is
breaking it down like this...
CATCH THE VISION -
The Who?
The When?
The Where?
The Why?
The How?
- right now he is on THE WHO? The Body of Christ -
IF WE ARE THE BODY.....Why aren't Hhis eyes seeing?
IF WE ARE THE BODY....Why aren't His ears hearing?
IF WE ARE THE BODY....Why aren't His mouth speaking?

.....do you see a pattern here????

Ladies I want to encourage you to strive to make a difference even if it seems like you aren't because somebody - somewhere is watchig and you truly are.

Til Next Time

Welcome

Some of you may be reading this and thinkin' "What is she doing adding another blog? she don't half keep up with the 1st one...!!!" Well I feel like the Lord has led me to be a blessing to others, so I began thinking how could I better serve and WAAA-LA...The blogger came to mind.
So . . . . . . . I want to use this as a newsletter so to speak to let other Pastor's wives know that it's OK to have those MOMENTS and that you are not in alone when you have them....I started to call this " Where Do Pastor's Wives Go To Resign?" but I do not believe that it is all bad, all the time.
I must admit I have had my moments, but so does everyone.
Recently my sister and her husband Scott, resigned the church that she and him as well as Asa & myself helped my dad start 10 years ago. Scott has been called to Asa's home church as the Assistant Pastor. Awesome responsibility, and as happy as I am for them, I do not envy them one bit, because although it is great, . . . . they went from having little problems in a little church, to many MORE issues and more problems in a VERY LARGE church!
I know they will do great there and God is totally in control, but I look around at where we are and think at times we aren't gonna make it, I just can't fathom the dealings with hundreds of people.....yet anyway.
I do pray that the Lord will allow our church to be great in number - in time, but just like you don't birth a 3 year old who is already talking and running around, same goes for baby churches, you GROW together!!!!!
So all you girlies out there , breathe a sigh of relief and BE THANKFUL for your little church!
I only want to be an encouragement and a blessing and add a little humor along the way of possible, I plan to add trivia, ladies meeting ideas, recipes and anything else that may fly threw my mind during the few sane hours I have each day!
My main goal is to share a devotion that maybe you will really get something out of. If you decide to use it in your ladies meetings GREAT!!!! WOW them at the next meeting with how clever you are...( hey nothing really that I EVER say is original anyways!!- and that is Scriptural....Don't the Bible say there is nothing new under the sun?????? so see there!!!
Have a great week and enjoy what "little" of January
you have left!
More to come! but til next time . . . . . .
